HONORING THOSE WHO SERVED.
REMEMBERING THOSE WHO NEVER CAME HOME.

The Flight Home Memorial will be a permanent POW/MIA memorial honoring those who served,
those who sacrificed, and those who have yet to make their final flight home.

The Flight Home Memorial is being created at the New Lenox American Legion as a permanent place of remembrance for America’s Prisoners of War and those still Missing in Action.

At its center will stand a UH-1 Huey — one of the most recognizable symbols of the Vietnam War — surrounded by a memorial designed to preserve their stories, honor their sacrifice, and ensure future generations understand the cost of service.
